Heartbroken James Jordan to lay ‘amazing’ dad to rest today after brain tumour death five weeks ago
A HEARTBROKEN James Jordan paid tribute to his dad on the day of his funeral calling him the the "most amazing man".
The former Strictly star recently lost his beloved dad, Allan, to a terminal brain tumour and took to Twitter to commemorate him ahead of the funeral service today.
"Today is the funeral of the most amazing man I have ever met," he wrote alongside a broken heart emoji.
His followers rushed to send him not only their condolences but also "love and strength for you to get through".
"Sending strength to you and your family James. Unfortunately I know that feeling of waking up knowing today is the day. The way things are at the moment makes that final journey so much harder," wrote one Twitter user.
Another added: "Thoughts are with you and your family today xx"
And a third said: "Sending my condolences and love to you and all your family."
The 42-year-old pro dancer, who also appeared on Dancing On Ice, broke his silence shortly after his dad's death.
He told fans he now wants to raise money for brain tumour research and asked his followers for help.
James said: "I haven't been on social media for quite a long time now because my father unfortunately passed away on 13 March at 8.05am.
"I've been totally devastated. I did try and do this post before, but I wasn't able to because I was too upset."
James added: "This could potentially change your life or someone in your family's.
"My dad had a stage four brain tumour - a glioblastoma. He was diagnosed approximately one year ago and myself and my family watched him slowly disappear.
"It's an absolutely horrendous horrendous disease. Cancer is awful no matter which cancer it is but brain tumour in particular takes away that person's identity a lot.
"Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer in children and adults under 40. Out of £600million raised in the UK, less than three per cent goes to brain tumour funding for treatments.
"I want to change that because I don't want any of you guys to go through what I and my family went through."
James' wife Ola then shaved his head live on Loose Women to help raise important funds.
James told viewers he had been , as Allan was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020 after suffering from a series of strokes.
Then during the ad break, Ola made a start on James' bushy locks.
He looked completely different when she finished, and Loose Women presented him with a cake as it was his 43rd birthday.
Asked what their one-year-old daughter Ella thought about her dad's new look, James replied: "She has done a runner!
