Piers Morgan lets slip the SEX word on GMB discussing Taylor Swift and Kanye West feud
The host was told off by co-host Susannah Reid who warned kids could be watching
CHEEKY Piers Morgan had his knuckles rapped by Susannah Reid after letting slip the word 'SEX' on Good Morning Britain.
The breakfast presenter was getting stuck into a debate about popstar Taylor Swift's role in Kanye West's controversial track Famous.
The rapper sung lyrics hinting he could bed Taylor, yet she has now threatened legal action against him after his wife Kim Kardashian leaked a private conversation between the pair.
Piers told the camera: "She's clearly in the video and Taylor Swift is clearing him to say, Taylor and I still may have sex."
Brunette beauty Susannah quickly squealed: "Oh! Piers Morgan!" with her eyes wide in surprise.
Entertainment reporter Richard Arnold was quick to interject and added: "We prefer snap crackle and pop at this time in the morning."
In mock surprise, Piers said: "Oh do we? I'm so sorry.
"I didn't realise we couldn't use the 'S' word - are there any words we can use this time in the morning?"
With a smile on his face, Richard added: "Sauce on the side works for me!" as Susannah continued the banter and said: "Richard's got a huge load of euphemisms," before bursting into laughter.
Taking a VERY tongue in cheek approach Piers, 51, said: "Let me just rephrase that - now we're going to have a chat about the birds and the bees.
"And a bit of how's ya father!"
Trying to put her telling off into context, ex Strictly Come Dancing star Susannah added: "It's not that adults would be offended it's that lots of children are watching and they might not want to hear that," before giving a shrug to the camera.
Shortly after the programme, Piers took to Twitter to say sorry, and wrote: "I'd like to apologise for using the word 'sex' on GMB today.
"It must be the heat, cc Susannah Reid."
Fans of the show were quick to pick up on the slip and shared their giggles about the saucy mishap on the social media site.
Adopting a sarcastic tone, one wrote: "Oh no Piers Morgan said the word sex before 8am on GMB.
"All the moaning mums will be complaining What is the world coming to?";
Another added: "That's nothing Piers - these days there are people actually HAVING sex on TV and proud of it!" presumably referring to raunchy reality shows such as Love Island.
One GMB fan uploaded the words:"Got to love Piers Morgan," while another furiously added: "Why?? Is sex not a word ?Bloody uptight Brits, sat on their sofas, waiting to be offended. Pathetic!"
Another seemed to side with Susannah and wrote: "My 9 year old son is watching GMB and laughed at the 'S' comment - not that you said it - that it had to be defended!"
Others got cheeky and referenced Piers' banter with his attractive co-host and said: "Funnily enough that word comes into my head every time I see Susannah."
Back on the ITV early bird show Piers continued to chat about Taylor's video stint after his red-faced moment.
In the track Kanye raps: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that b**** famous.”
Yet a recording leaked by Kanye's busty reality TV show wife Kim proved he had asked for the Love Story star's permission to release the controversial track.
Piers said: "She's (Taylor's) quite happy for that part of it to go out there, which many people thought was pretty outrageous anyway.
"I think she's just now threatening legal action to take the sting out of the tail of being exposed for being in on all this."
