Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond film in the South African bush for new show The Grand Tour
The ex-Top Gear presenters give fans an early glimpse of their brand new car show
WHILE the future of Top Gear hangs in the balance, Jeremy Clarkson’s new show, The Grand Tour is fast becoming one of the most eagerly-awaited shows this year, and now fans have been treated to a first look, all the way from the South African bush.
Joined by co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond, the trio chatted to a studio audience with stunning South African views in the background.
The pictures show the presenters dressed in their usual blazer and trousers attire, in a studio kitted out with vintage rugs and antique cases.
Other images show a tent with the show’s logo, and some 4x4 which appear to be loaded with gear for the show.
Writing in his column for The Sun, Jeremy admitted that he was “crapping” himself over his new venture, which h will be aired on Amazon Prime this autumn.

“In a field just outside Johannesburg, James May, Richard Hammond and I will record the first studio segment for our new show, the Grand Tour.
“And I don’t mind telling you. I’m crapping myself.”
The three men were recently mobbed by fans in Vincenza, Italy, during which insiders called a “victory lap” amid the news that Chris Evans had quit Top Gear.
“Jeremy’s been trying to keep quiet about it, but he’s pleased as punch,” one unnamed cameraman told The Mail Online.
“He’s kept his mouth shut about Evans the whole time, and now Evans has hung himself by his own rope without Jeremy getting involved.
“It’s ironic because Evans was a massive Top Gear fan, but he’s ruined it for himself by taking the top job on the show.”
