Strictly star Chelsee Healey splits with boyfriend days before starting new Hollyoaks role
His time in prison took it's toll on their relationship
STRICTLY star Chelsee Healey has split from her boyfriend just days before starting her new role in Hollyoaks.
The 27-year-old actress started dating Jack Malloy more than two years ago but the relationship was plagued by trouble after he was jailed in November for 12 months.
The Sun revealed how Jack, 28, admitted dangerous driving, using a vehicle without insurance and driving while disqualified.
After struggling to cope with her boyfriend behind bars, Chelsee revealed the break-up on Twitter before enjoying a vodka-fuelled night out with pals.
On July 10, she posted: “Sunday I missed you.”
But just hours later, she tweeted: “Oi a break up does wonders for the effort you put into your make up! Lol girls on top.”
Wearing a black off-the-shoulder dress, she posted a glamorous picture at a bar, captioned “Sunday Funday”.
Two days earlier, she’d written: “Imagine if life was simple and stress free. Think about number 1.”
On Friday, Chelsee, best known for her time on Waterloo Road, was spotted on the set of Hollyoaks for the first time since joining the cast of the Channel 4 soap.
She was pictured reading through her script at the headquarters of production company Lime Pictures in Liverpool, Merseyside.
A source told The Sun: “I think Jack being in prison has really taken its toll on the relationship.
“The pair found it difficult being apart for so long.
“But she’s so excited about starting her new role in Hollyoaks and can’t wait to get stuck into it.
“I think it will really help to take her mind off things.”
Chelsee hooked up with party boy Jack after they were introduced in May 2014 by mutual pal Tulisa Contostavlos, who grew up with Jack in Camden, North London.
Before he was caged last year, he’d previously been given a suspended sentence for producing cannabis.
The couple were on the rocks in January after dancing finalist Chelsee tweeted: “I forgot what being single felt like!!! I feel free.”
But she quickly deleted it and denied the pair had split, before posting: “ A lot can change in just one day.”
After Jack was released from prison in March, she posted a picture kissing him on the cheek, captioned: “My baby back.”
Despite Chelsee’s new acting job, details of her role have been kept tightly under wraps until she appears on screen later this summer.
This will be Chelsee’s first television role since she finished her stint as lady Honey Wright in Casualty – a role she portrayed on and off for 11 months last year.
She was previously in a relationship with ex-Bristol Rovers footballer Oliver Norburn, before splitting in June 2012.
