Gary Lineker and his ex-wife Danielle Bux snapped looking cosy as he wraps his arm around her following their divorce
The Match of the Day host split from his wife back in January
GARY Lineker has sparked rumours he could be reuniting with his ex-wife Danielle Bux after the pair were snapped looking cosy together in London this weekend.
The Match of the Day host wrapped his arm around his former spouse as they strolled around Notting Hill.
The couple went through a quick and amicable divorce in January but promised to always remain pals.
They famously decided against using expensive divorce lawyers and used a government website where they filled out the forms together.
The process cost just £400 rather than the huge sums that are usually associated with celeb divorces.
Gary was reportedly worth in the region of £30million before his divorce from first wife Michelle.
She was granted a “quickie” divorce over his “unreasonable behaviour” by a High Court judge in August 2006.
The former soccer ace is now believed to be worth in the region of £20million and he is reported to have reached an "agreeable" financial settlement with second wife Danielle.
However, it looks like they've remained close as Gary wrapped him arm protectively around her as they strolled through the plush neighbourhood.
Gary, 55 and Danielle, 37, were married for six years before their divorce but had secretly gone their separate ways a year earlier.
However, it looked like a 're-match' could be on the cards as they looked loved-up while out and about, with Danielle even feeding Gary some cake.
An onlooker told The Mirror: "They’re famously on good terms – but this looked like a couple enjoying an afternoon out together.
“Gary had his arm around Danielle and they even held hands. It’s astounding to think they’re recently divorced. She even fed him a cake while he carried the shopping bags.
"They’re obviously incredibly close.”
The pair reportedly called it quits because Danielle, who is mum to a teenage daughter, wanted to have another child but dad-of-four Gary felt he was too old to have more children.
They spent last Christmas together but they had been apart before then as model Danielle was trying to carve out a career for herself as an actress in LA while Gary had work commitments here.
A source at the time said: "They made a great couple but their different views on having children is what made them realise they had to split.
“They both know it is the right thing to do and are looking forward to the future.
"They are convinced they will stay friends.”
Gary later said he wanted to remain close to his ex and said they "get on brilliantly".
He added: "We have a lovely relationship, and that’s how we are. And that’s genuine.”
Speaking about his simple divorce, he said: “Just generally speaking, it’s very easy to get married and very difficult to get divorced.
"And we know that lawyers try to manipulate it to make you spend more money and basically end up hating each other.
"I think there should be a mathematical equation that goes straight to the courts and they sort it out.”
Gary spent much of the summer in Paris covering the Euro 2016 championships while Danielle is working on her acting career and has appeared in crime drama Aquarius with X-Files star David Duchovny.
