Seventies heart throb could star alongside Lil Kim, Azaelia Banks and Anthea Turner's bankrupt ex

DAVID Cassidy has reportedly been offered a whopping £100k to appear in this year's Celebrity Big Brother.

The 66-year-old crooner is said to be wanted by the bosses as he isn't afraid to speak his mind.

He famously took down Eamonn Holmes on live TV as the presenter grilled him on his bankruptcy.

The shocked host later let loose on David via Twitter and wrote: "If David Cassidy isn't in CBB next year they r missing out on his delusion & rudeness! Perfect combo."

Now it appears that Channel 5 bosses took the hint and the star will now potentially join the likes of Azaelia Banks, rapper Lil Kim, and X Factor reject Katie Waissel.

The star went through a turbulent time in 2015 after he divorced his wife and had to file for bankruptcy, selling his family home.

David is a veteran to the small screen- having first found fame in 70's sitcom The Partridge Family.

He also made a brief appearance on the US version of The Apprentice - with presidential candidate Donald Trump taking over Sir Alan Sugar's role as the finger-pointing master of ceremonies.
