DAVID Cassidy has reportedly been offered a whopping £100k to appear in this year's Celebrity Big Brother.

The 66-year-old crooner is said to be wanted by the bosses as he isn't afraid to speak his mind.

He famously took down Eamonn Holmes on live TV as the presenter grilled him on his bankruptcy.

The shocked host later let loose on David via Twitter and wrote: "If David Cassidy isn't in CBB next year they r missing out on his delusion & rudeness! Perfect combo."

Now it appears that Channel 5 bosses took the hint and the star will now potentially join the likes of Azaelia Banks, rapper Lil Kim, and X Factor reject Katie Waissel.

"He is renowned for his straight talking. Plus he's been through the mill- divorce, bankruptcy, three drink-driving arrests and rehab, so he'll have a lot to talk about."
