Love Island’s Adam Maxwell and Katie Salmon are first couple to split and things turn nasty as he compares her to a KEBAB
The ITV2 stars tweeted to confirm their break-up
They made it through to the final four couples but Adam Maxted and Katie Salmon have already called time on their romance just days after leaving the Love Island villa.
It appears that the split has turned nasty with Adam comparing Katie to a kebab on his Twitter page.
In a post uploaded on Thursday, which has since been deleted, the wrestler wrote that he was "100 percent single" adding: "It's like when you're eating a kebab after a night out & the first few bites taste good but then u realise that it really isn't nice at all!"
After initially not replying Katie hit back and wrote: "It's like getting socks at Christmas. Practical but no fun."
The pair had been pictured together at the show wrap party at DSTRKT on Thursday but at another event at Sugar Hut on Friday Adam told reporters the pair had become embroiled in an argument the night before.
He told OK! "Basically had a bit of an argument with Katie cause she said I didn't stick up for her when she was arguing with Tom and Sophie about the Sophie situation on camera last night."
Adam also claimed that Katie had kissed fellow cast mate Troy while they were all in a taxi together.
"And then we were getting a taxi to Dstrkt and I was in it and Katie started kissing Troy in the back while I was there lol so we are done."
Katie initially paired up with Sophie Graydon before the former Miss GB revealed that she was in love with Tom Powell and decided to leave the house.
Adam then picked Katie and the couple made it to the final of the show but saw Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoya win the show.
The contestants are currently being film in a special Love Island Heading Home episode, which airs on Sunday night at 9pm.
