MOST pop stars end their careers performing on cruise ships – but ED SHEERAN is bucking the trend.
I’ve learned the singer has been secretly recording his new album on the Queen Mary 2.

Living up to his name as pop’s most down-to-earth star, my source revealed: “Ed turned up at the dock in New York and asked for a cheap cabin, nothing fussy.
“While aboard he requested a meeting room so they found him a basic, windowless crew room in the bowels of the ship. He spent the entire week locked away, writing.”
This week Benny uploaded a snap of him and Ed recreating LEONARDO DiCAPRIO and KATE WINSLET’s Titanic pose with the caption: “Paint me Jack.” Not that Ed could do much else.
My source added: “Ed’s casual dress meant he couldn’t get into any of the fancy dinner areas, not that he cared.
“He was pretty much confined to two informal areas but was very laid back, happy and chatting to everyone.”
Ed has been travelling the world after deciding to take a break from music.
I can’t wait to hear what he’s come up with from the middle of the ocean.
This gives his label Atlantic Records a whole other meaning.
