Ashley Cain ‘devastated’ as he’s told baby daughter’s leukaemia has relapsed and they’re left with ‘very few options’
ASHLEY Cain is devastated after being told that his baby daughter has relapsed - and they are left with "very few options" to treat her leukaemia.
Seven-month-old Azaylia underwent a bone marrow test yesterday to find out whether her recent transplant had worked.
But today 30-year-old Ashley and his partner Safiyya were dealt the devastating news that the treatment had been ineffective.
Taking to his Instagram page this evening, the Ex On The Beach star told followers that Azaylia had immediately been re-admitted to hospital as an inpatient - and they have "very few options" left.
Their medical consultants have put out a last-ditch global call for help, and the family will be jetting overseas for a year to receive specialist treatment if possible.
Sharing some snaps of his smiling little girl wearing a frilly white babygro and pink socks, heartbroken Ashley wrote: "Azaylia’s last day at home! 💔
"After yesterday’s results we have found out that Azaylia has heartbreakingly relapsed and we have immediately been admitted back into hospital as inpatients.
"We are devastated at the news and are left with very few options. We, along with the consultants have been reaching out globally in the last 24 hours to find a solution to save Azaylia’s life.
"So far, we have only one potential option that we will be getting confirmation on tomorrow. This will mean that we will be uprooting and leaving the country in a matter of days/weeks to embark on a year long journey to save our beautiful little girl! ❤️"
He went on: "Azaylia is such a strong little girl who has fought through every near impossible battle so far and she has done it all with love in her heart and a smile on her face!
"We pray that we get the right news tomorrow so she can continue fighting for the life that she loves so much! ❤️
"Thank you for all your support so far and please keep our little girl in your prayers! 🙏🏾"
Ashley and Safiyya welcomed Azaylia in August, and were left devastated when she was diagnosed with leukaemia at eight weeks old.
He has been keeping fans updated on her treatment via Instagram, and admitted earlier this month that he is "mentally exhausted".

The family expected Azaylia to get the all-clear in February after gruelling chemotherapy treatment, but were left "blindsided" when they were instead told that the cancer had returned.
She went on to have a bone marrow transplant, which doctors hoped would beat the disease.
Ashley wrote earlier this week: "Consultants made us aware that if her leukaemia returns after transplant there are only few options left.
"Over the last few weeks we have been exploring one of these options, by weaning her off her cyclosporine medication to give her donor cells a boost, in the hope that they take action in combating the leukaemia."
