Scott Thomas defends romping with Kady McDermott on Love Island
The new couple tell This Morning viewers their romance is the real deal
LOVE Island couple Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott have described their first few days of freedom as "mental" as the pair deal with facing the public.
Chatting to This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the lovebirds also confirmed their relationship is the real deal, with Scott gushing: "I knew what I was fighting for."
Scott and Kady were one of the most talked about couples on the ITV2 show, as viewers couldn't get enough of their explosive relationship on screen.
And despite not winning the coveted £50,000 prize money, Kady says the reaction from fans has been hard to get used to.
She said: "I can't even describe it – you're walking down the street and everyone’s like 'oh my God, it’s Kady from Love Island.'
"It’s mental, I can’t even cope with it."
On their relationship, Scott, who's the twin brother of actor Adam Thomas, said: "People didn’t see how close me and Kady were.
"I knew what I was fighting for, so regardless of what anyone said I was always going to stay with Kady.
