Holly Willoughby reveals her phobia of flying on This Morning
The beauty will put her nerves to the test as she jets off on holiday soon
HOLLY Willoughby feared for her life when she took to a plane to perform stunts for a TV show - and she said the nail-biting moment sparked her phobia of flying.
The blonde beauty - a daughter of an air hostess - lifted the lid on her airport jitters during today's episode of This Morning.
She was whipped into a blind panic after sitting in a passenger seat for Feel the Fear back in 2005 which she confessed prompted a serious phobia which she only recently addressed.
She said: "My mum was an air hostess and I loved it.
"I never had a problem doing it (flying).
"They tested me on the show and I had to do barrel rolls and I plummeted to the ground.
"I was scared to within an inch of my life."
The presenter has now vowed to send an in-flight selfie to the ITV daytime show when she takes to the skies this month to prove she has conquered her jitters.
Talking of watching her in-flight drama in a clip from the show aired 11 years ago she said: "Watching it makes me feel upset.
"Now when I look out of a plane window I feel when are we going to go down on the ground, because I know what it feels like.
"I have seen it."
The yummy mummy, married to TV producer Dan Baldwin, then revealed she had chatted to This Morning's experts Nik and Eva Speakman to try to heal her deep-rooted nerves.
Chatting to co-host Phillip Schofield, she said she now felt better prepared to travel ahead of her summer holiday.
Her bubbly partner in crime quizzed when Holly realised she had in-part recovered and the beauty replied: "As soon as they said whose fault it is - when they asked that obvious question.
"It wasn't the plane's fault, the plane got me down safely. The plane did its job.
"It was me pegging the thought that I thought I was going to die onto the plane."
While introducing the chat show's phone in, psychotherapist Eva said phobias of flying could be sparked by everything from a fear of vomiting in public to being scared of picking up germs.
Holly, 35, added: "It's something I suffered from - but not any more!"
