Chris Evans’ friend to release ‘explosive’ tell-all book that reveals the presenter’s ‘dark side’
Friends say the memoir by ex-sidekick John Revell will make for “difficult reading”
CHRIS Evans’ week is set to go from bad to worse as it’s been revealed that long-term friend and colleague John Revell is planning to release a memoir that will expose the ex-Top Gear presenter’s “dark side.”
John was 50-year-old Chris’s producer and sidekick on Radio 1 and Virgin Radio in the 1990s, during the time where Chris has confessed to going “off the rails.”
A friend told Sunday People that John “knows where the bodies are buried.”
“John was with Chris during the good times and bad.
"He has seen the bright side and the dark side of Chris Evans – he knows where the bodies are buried.
“He has remained loyal to Chris over the years but feels the time is now right to tell all about his experiences in the broadcasting industry.
“However, it’s the details he has about the real Chris Evans which will be particularly explosive and revealing.
"He will outline what he witnessed during his radio career and tell the truth of what happened behind the scenes.
“It threatens to be difficult reading for his old friend.”
This is the latest in a long line of recent events that have rocked the media mogul and presenter this week.
On Monday he quit his role as Top Gear presenter, just weeks into the new series, amid police confirming that they will be investigating a sexual assault allegation dating back to the 1990s when he was hosting The Big Breakfast.
Chris has vehemently denied the claims, labelling them as a “witch hunt.”
