He has registered a new company, called Daintree Limited, dealing in the “sale of new cars and light motor vehicles”.

The business was set up with the actor’s Aussie solicitor wife Renee Kemp last month in the same week Ross filmed his comeback scenes for the BBC soap — in which he first appeared 26 years ago.

The new company is believed to be named after Renee’s place of birth, Daintree in Queensland.

Previous experience... Ross on the EastEnders set

Ross returned to EastEnders for a brief stint this year after his friend Dame Barbara Windsor, 78, convinced him to take part in her final storyline as his on-screen mum Peggy Mitchell.

He said: “We met for dinner with my wife and her husband Scott.

“She didn’t put a gun to my head but may as well have done.”

Ross has been involved in a string of businesses in addition to his work as a soap star.

In 2013 he launched clothes company Standard Issue fashion, but the company was forced to dissolve in February last year.

He closed his other company Mongoose Productions, making a huge profit in the process.

The car-mad actor has spoken before about his adoration for motors.

“It’s my dream job.

“What’s not to like about driving around in nice cars?”

The TV actor-turned-investigative journalist added: “I’d swap him a sleeping bag, body armour and dirty, wet boots any day.’’

Ross secretly wed Renee in 2012.

His latest project is a Sky1 series called Ross Kemp: The Fight Against ISIS, which will is due to hit screens next week.
