Love Island’s Alex and Olivia reduced to tears as he fails lie detector test – again and again!
The hunk is grilled about his relationship with the blonde in scenes from tonight's show
LOVE Island's Olivia Buckland was left FURIOUS after boyfriend Alex Bowen took a lie detector test which said his feelings for her were FAKE.
The tell-tale machine was brought into the sun-soaked villa with the lads all being forced to go under the radar.
In scenes due to screen tonight, viewers will see Olivia acting rather confident when she revealed she hadn't given her in-house love "an easy ride" with her questioning.
Talking of the pressurised experience, she said: "I think Alex needs to squirm a little bit."
Yet things started to turn sour when he got the jitters entering the room and was grilled.
He was asked a handful of questions including: Are your feelings real towards Olivia?
Alex replied with: "‘Yes’, but the detector said it was a lie."
It added: "Is Olivia silly to trust you?"
Alex answered ‘No’ and the detector claimed it was a lie.
It went on to quiz: "Do you find any girl in the villa more attractive than Olivia?"
Again answering ‘No’, the detector alleged that Alex was lying.
The final straw came when the machine posed the question on everyone's lips and probed: "Do you see a future with Olivia?"
Alex said ‘Yes’, but once again the lie detector said he was lying.
The hunk's nerves quickly turned to anger.
Love Island addicts will see him let rip after his supposedly deceptive feelings were revealed and he said: “The test can go f*** itself really.
"I don’t care what the test has got to say. I literally couldn’t look at Olivia because I didn’t know what she was thinking.
"I just wanted to be outside on my own and chill. When everyone started coming over to me, it got me upset.
"I know how I feel about the girl, and that’s all that matters to me."
Yet at first, he was unable to confront a devastated Olivia face-to-face.
Meanwhile the blonde raged to the camera and said: “What am I meant to say to Alex?
"Where am I going to go from here? I’m so angry. There wasn’t even one thing to reassure me.”

Eager to reassure Olivia, he made a beeline for his babe.
Laying his heart on the line he said: "All I’m bothered about is me and you.
"I know how I feel. I’ve come out of there and got teary eyed, it takes a lot for me to be like that.
"If I didn’t care about you, it wouldn’t get me upset.
"It’s bull****.
"All I was bothered about when the detector was turning red [to indicate a lie], was about you, because I don’t want to see you upset.”
He added: “You know I care about you.
"Everyone else in this villa knows my feelings for you. I’ve said it enough.
"Every word I said at recoupling, I meant every word. I just need you to trust me.”
After wiping away her tears the babe seemed to accept his confession.
She then admits she believes him over the outcome of the machine.
Turning to her lover she said: “It’s made me realise I do trust you. I can see your face; I know you’re telling the truth.
"If people think I’m an idiot for believing you over the lie detector test, then they need their head tested.”
