‘Even my dress is red!’ Holly Willoughby flies the flag for Wales in her pretty summer dress
Viewers took to social media to pay her lots of compliments
SHE might have been born and bred in England but Holly Willoughby showed she was fully behind the Welsh football team as she hosted This Morning today.
Because not only was the studio kitted out in Welsh flags but she decided she would wear a red dress to show her allegiance.
Holly, 35, wore a very pretty red print dress from Banana Republic with a tie-neck which she teamed with heeled sandals from Marks and Spencer.
And as she and co-host Phillip Schofield spoke about the studio being decked out in Welsh colours, she waved her Welsh flag and said: “Even my dress is red!”
And fans were quick to compliment her on her outfit of choice as they posted comments on Twitter and her Instagram page.
Amid the usual “you’re beautiful” and “love the outfit” and “gorgeous”, one fan told her to, “have a lovely day, sunshine”.
One said she had serious wardrobe envy while another said she was their “favourite person to watch on TV”.
The mum-of-three is always being complimented on her gorgeous outfits that she wears to present the ITV daytime show.
Even when her work is done for the day, her fashion sense continues to delight as she was spotted at Wimbledon this week in a very pretty pink checked dress.
But today it was her turn to offer her opinion on someone else’s attire - although it didn’t go down too well with the recipient.
With the show throwing its weight behind the Welsh football team as they face their first European Championships semi-final this evening, even Rylan got into the swing of things, albeit reluctantly.
As he appeared on screen wearing a daffodil headdress, Holly teased: “Oh, look at you! You know what you look like – remember those plant pot things you used to get that you’d played music to and they’d dance? That’s what you look like!”
Rylan then started laughing and moving his arms up and down as he pretended to be one of those dancing flowers as Phillip added: “And if you’re really, really old, if I said… Little Weed!”
He then asked Rylan what he had for them today on his gossip slot and he answered: “Well, clearly the mick being taken out of me!”
