KATIE Price has been declared disabled after breaking her feet in a freak accident — and she says: “I’m crippled and scarred for life.”

The star fell off a 25ft wall in Turkey last year and has been told she will never wear heels again, or walk for more than 20 minutes a day.

Mum-of-five Katie, 42, has sent off for a blue badge so she can park next to shops, and is seeking legal advice about her injuries.

She added: “I will never be the same, I’ve had to accept that, but I’m staying positive.”

“The accident has changed my life and it’s only just sunk in if I’m honest.

"I’ve been given two sets of painkillers but I can’t take them because I’m scared of becoming addicted, so I’m just in constant pain.

“It feels like you’re being electrocuted — like shocks of lightning shooting up my feet all day.

“I’ve got a limp when I walk now as one leg is longer than the other because of all the metal in the foot — I waddle like a duck. It does make me feel a bit paranoid.

“It’s just one thing after another… I know — every day is a nightmare at the moment in the life of the Pricey.”

Katie is now only able to walk for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time before the pain becomes too much

TV star Katie, 42, broke her feet falling off a 25ft wall onto a concrete ramp in Turkey last July.

She previously told The Sun that she feared she’d die, lose both her legs, or never walk again.

The damage was so severe that it took an eight-hour op to fuse the bones back together.

Eight months later, Katie is now only able to walk for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time before the pain becomes too much.

She is then forced to sit back in her wheelchair — meaning she medically qualifies for a blue badge.

This will allow her to park in disabled spaces close to shops.

The former glamour model told The Sun: “I’m registered disabled and have got letters from the doctors to certify me for a blue badge, which I’ve sent off for.

“I have to park near the entrances to shops all the time, otherwise it would cripple me to walk from the back of a car park to a shop and back again.

“I can’t carry anything from the shops either or even walk up the stairs with anything. The heavier items, the more it hurts my feet.”

Stricken Katie admits she is “living a nightmare”, as the accident has had such a huge impact on everyday jobs.

She is also seeking legal advice over the fall and her injuries.

Katie revealed: “I’m getting some legal advice at the moment.

“I’m not usually the kind of person to do something like this, but this has had a massive effect.

“When it’s cold, my feet ache at night. I can’t get rid of the constant pain. Once I sit down I can’t get up again because it hurts too much.”

The accident topped off a terrible year for Katie with her eldest son Harvey, 18, being rushed into intensive care and hospitalised for ten days

She needs physiotherapy sessions four times a week — and potentially even more surgery.

She explained: “Where I’ve been overcompensating on my walking, because one leg is longer than the other, it has affected my hips, my back and now my knees.

“I’ve got to have some work to sort out my legs and have them aligned.

“I also have these pads in my shoes because I’ve got a collapsed arch in one foot.

“This has all affected our home life dramatically. I can’t do fun things with my kids any more, such as trampolining. I also have to take a wheelchair if I want to go on a long family walk.

“I’m lucky to be alive and to be able to walk a short distance — but it gets frustrating.

“Emotionally it is very hard as I want to do things like run, walk a bit longer and stuff but I can’t.”

The Sun broke the news of Katie’s nightmare accident last summer.

The disaster came on her first romantic break with Love Island boyfriend Carl Woods, 31.

It topped off a terrible year for Katie with her eldest son Harvey, 18, being rushed into intensive care and hospitalised for ten days.

Just weeks before her horror fall she was left devastated when daughter Princess Tiaamii’s dog Rolo died in a tragic accident at home.

This came just 18 months after a delivery driver ran over and killer her beloved Alsatian, Queenie.

More recently, her other dog Sparkle then escaped from her home, and was run over by a passing car.

Last month Katie revealed that 29st Harvey, who has an eating disorder syndrome as a result of Prader-Willi Syndrome, will be moved to a specialist college to help care for his various needs.

Katie has hired a top nutritionist to help him and recently told a BBC documentary how she is terrified the condition could kill him.

He is unable to control his weight and requires 24-hour care.

Last December she bravely returned to Turkey and the scene of her disastrous fall.

In an emotional interview she told The Sun how she went back to the hotel where it happened to face her trauma, admitting: “I should be dead.”

While she is incredibly grateful to be alive, Katie was devastated when her doctors said she will never be able to run again.

She took part in the 2009 and 2018 London Marathons but has been forced to accept they will be her last.

Thankfully she can still ride her beloved horses since her heels are barely impacted by pressure of being in stirrups.

But Katie said: “I felt quite s*** when I was told I wouldn’t be able to run any more. I’ll never be able to do the Marathon again or another sky jump — I’ve done three of them.

“Even when I get off a horse I have to be helped.

“I can’t jump off because I can’t land on my feet.

“I am an active person so this is very, very hard but I’ll still try and do what I can for charity — maybe I’ll do a bike ride or try to run the Marathon with the participants with disabilities.

“It’s all just a nightmare that has gone from bad to worse.”
