Teen Mom Leah Messer slammed for saying she gets ‘mom guilt’ when she leaves her kids after recent trip to Nashville

TEEN Mom fans slammed star Leah Messer after she claimed she gets “mom guilt” whenever she leaves her kids, despite going away on a trip to Nashville recently.

The 28-year-old is mom to three daughters – twins Ali and Aleeah, 11, and Addie, 7.

On Wednesday evening, shared a sweet family photo on Instagram of her and her girls smiling and laughing and huddling up close to one another out in nature.

In her caption, which many fans on Reddit said felt very “fake,” the admitted she often feels bad when she has to leave her kids for a little bit.

The Hope, Grace, & Faith author wrote: “If you’ve ever felt ‘mom guilt’ raise your hand 🙋🏻‍♀️ These past couple of days have been TOUGH. 

“It’s no secret I love my girls, but sometimes it’s such an internal battle when I have to leave them to work. 

She continued: “I want to build a solid foundation for my daughters & inspire them to reach their goals and balancing that with quality time can be challenging. How do you handle mom guilt? 

“What allows you to find that balance? Let’s build each other up and share some tips below”

With the final line and call to action, some Reddit users claimed she was just pretending to feel this way because she wanted to seem releatable and wanted to grow her interaction as a social media influencer.

One user commented: “Everything about this feels so faaaaake. Blah, I hate Instagram. So polished and perfect and preachy. NO ONE IS LIKE THIS IN REAL LIFE.”

A second wrote: “It isn’t genuine, it’s just a topic they think will get their target audience talking.”

Another simply said Leah’s “trying too hard.”

Others slammed the mom-of-three for saying she feels “mom guilt” when leaving her kids when she just went away to .

“Where was this mom guilt when she went on an unnecessary trip to Nashville last week??” One fan asked.

Another blasted, referencing Leah’s daughter, Ali, who suffers from muscular dystrophy: “That’s not ‘mom guilt’ that’s ‘covid traveling with an immunocompromised child at home’ guilt.”

Others called her out for taking daughter Aleeah, aka Gracie, out of her cheer practices because of the pandemic but then still went ahead and took herself on this trip.

“The f***ing nerve,” one user added.

The Teen Mom star has also kept Ali home from school and sports activities over the last year in order to preserve her “compromised immune system,” but then she herself left the bubble to see a friend in Nashville.
