This Country’s Daisy May Cooper is unrecognisable from Kerry Mucklowe after very glam makeover
THIS Country's Daisy May Cooper looked worlds apart from her character Kerry Mucklowe after undergoing a very glam makeover.
The actress and writer, 34, returned to Instagram after a brief spell away with a new lease of life.
Sharing the stunning selfie, Daisy wrote: "The b***h is back."
She then joked the legendary sea captain, a middle-aged 'US Army officer' who slid into her DMs last year, wouldn't be able to contain himself over her new look.
Swapping Kerry's tracksuit and makeup-free look for a stylish top, heavy eye liner, and blonde wavy hair; the pics went down a treat with fans.
Scarlett Moffatt said: "Omg you look incredible 😍😍😍😍."
While a non-celeb follower posted: "Omg darling Daisy you looks sooo stunning and you are the loveliest person going."
Earlier this month Daisy apologised to fans for an offensive Instagram caption in which she used the term "midget" in a derogatory way.
The star took down the post celebrating her post-baby weight loss in which she used the word to mock herself.
She took a mirror selfie showing off the results of her keto diet after giving birth to her second son in September.
But when she was criticised for using the word to take the mickey out of her short stature in the before snap, she quickly apologised saying: "I should know better".
"I'm extremely sorry. Thankyou so much to everyone who called me out on it. Love you all," she added in a seperate note on Monday.
According to the Little People of America charity, the word midget "was created as a label used to refer to people of short stature who were on public display for curiosity and sport".
It adds: "Today, the word “midget” is considered a derogatory slur."
Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis once explained it on Twitter.
He wrote: "The use of the word ‘midget’ is not appropriate and is considered very offensive if targeted at someone with dwarfism. Its use is best avoided in all circumstance."
Dwarfism is a condition characterised by unusually short height, with as well as being short, some people with restricted growth also have other physical problems, such as bowed legs or an unusually curved spine, according to the NHS.
"But most people don't have any other serious problems and are able to live a relatively normal life, with a normal life expectancy," the NHS writes.
Daisy was raised in Gloucestershire then moved to London to study at Rada, a renowned drama school.
Best known for her work in This Country, the successful mockumentary made fun out of country life as Daisy and her brother Charlie Cooper took inspiration from their own childhoods in rural England while writing the script.
