DANCING On Ice’s Denise Van Outen was in "agony" and "terrified" of falling again during a brand new routine that she learnt at the last minute.

The brave actress, 46, was afraid of tumbling once more after her horror smash on the ice because she doesn’t "heal like a 21-year-old" anymore, a source told the Sun Online.

Denise made a return to the ice after being rushed to hospital after she partially dislocated her shoulder during rehearsals, right before the launch show.

The Sun Online revealed how she incredibly decided she would do the launch show despite being in agony over her fall.

Her pro star Matt Evers had to choreograph a new routine at the eleventh hour.

A source told the Sun Online: “She was devastated because a fall like that when you’re not 21 is not easy.

"She was worried she wouldn’t heal like she would back then, so was so nervous to get back on the ice, but she was determined the show must go on.

"Everyone felt so bad for Denise, she was in agony but gave it her all. She had done so well before and then this happened.”

Denise and Matt skated to Tina Turner's Proud Mary on Sunday night.

Denise was taken straight to physio after her performance wearing full PPE gear to protect her from Covid.
