THERE is set to be a huge shock on Coronation Street as Kylie Platt dies before she and David leave Wetherfield for good.
David, played by Jack P Shepherd, is left devastated after his wife dies in a shock episode set to air in just over a week's time.
With Tony Stewart in the frame for Callum’s murder it looks as though David, Kylie and Sarah are home and dry.
However, Kylie is uncomfortable about letting an innocent dead man take the wrap for a crime she committed.
She suggests the family leave Weatherfield for good and put the past year firmly behind them.
Unfortunately, their future plans are cut short when Kylie dies unexpectedly.
The details surrounding Kylie's shocking are death are being kept under wraps but these eerie pictures show Kylie packing her bags before the car is revealed as her own hearse while her family and freinds look on.
Paula Lane, who has played Kylie since 2010, said: "It was very emotional to film the scenes knowing that I would never return and her death has huge consequences for David and all the family.”
It's been a turbulent time for the Platt family in recent weeks after Callum's body was discovered following the car crash on Carla's disastrous wedding day to Nick.
Kylie hit Corrie villain Callum Logan over the head with a wrench when he attacked er sister-in-law Sarah.
The women, with the help of Sarah’s brother David, then buried Weatherfield’s resident baddie in their family home.
Meanwhile, mum Gail (Helen Worth) was none the wiser that his body had been hidden underneath her garage.
As the investigation heated up Sarah started acting more and more erratically over fears she could be sent to prison and she ends up being admitted to a psychiatric hospital.
It looks like things start to unravel on next Monday night's episode when Sarah says too much in a session with the family and her psychiatrist.
Sarah about her ordeal with Callum and how she thought he was going to kill her until Kylie arrived. Gail listens in aghast, while David and Kylie brace themselves for the truth to come out.
Kylie’s final episodes will air week beginning Monday July 11th.
