FORMER Coronation Street actress Faye Brookes considered becoming a personal trainer as her "side hustle" as work dried up in lockdown.
The Dancing On Ice hopeful, 33, is a fitness fanatic who looked into how to become a personal trainer before realising "the training was a helluva lot more than I thought it was going to be".
The actress is known for her role as Kate Connor on Corrie, but quit the soap last year.
Speaking about how other actors kept themselves busy during the first national lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, Faye described wanting to use lockdown to find "a better version of me".
As a person who loves working out and knows a lot about the body, Faye thought it would be practical to become a personal trainer.
"But for me I 100% looked at becoming a PT, I thought that was really an interesting route, because I'm so active, I've danced and I know a lot about the body," she said on the podcast, .
"The training was was a helluva lot more than I thought it was going to be, it's like training to be a nurse. Honestly, it's A LOT of reading.
"But that gave me something to focus on and I do get the 'side hustle' and it also rounds you off as a person, it's adding more strings to your bow and it's a passion of mine."
Thankfully, Faye will be able to incorporate all of her passions while earning an income after being named in the line-up for this year's Dancing On Ice.
The Corrie darling will dance with pro skater Hamish Gaman and said competing on ITV's skate competition will be the first time the public will see the real her.
She announced that she would be joining the DOI 2021 line-up on Lorraine.
Faye said: "This is the first time people are going to see me not being a character, not hiding behind anything, just Faye."
