Spencer Matthews set to make comeback to I’m A Celebrity jungle after shameful steroid scandal
The reality TV was booted off the show but is being given another chance
SPENCER Matthews is to make a sensational return to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here this autumn after he was booted off the last series.
The former Made In Chelsea star joined the celebrity contestants and was tipped to be a firm favourite with viewers.
But after he confessed to taking steroids, bosses had no choice but to remove him from the jungle and the show.
However, Spencer has since cleaned up his act and ITV bosses are keen to get him back on the show for the next series which starts in November.
And they are believed to be making it worth his while with aw £50,000 contract.
Spencer regretted his decision to take the pills and said he took them purely for vanity reasons.
Speaking to Radio One’s Newsbeat back in March, he said: “It was completely out of vanity. I just wanted to look good in the shower.
“I wasn’t thinking properly and made a mistake. I took some pills to enhance my training.
“It was quite a costly mistake in the end because the pills travelled with me to Australia and when I spoke of them I was asked to leave.
“When the reality came in that I was going home on the third day, I was just absolutely devastated.”
Last year’s series was won by Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison who then began dating Spencer but ended it after a short time as she was said to be concerned about his lothario ways.
The Sun Online has contacted Spencer’s rep and ITV for comment.
