Shock as this The Chase contestant is attacked for taking minus offer

Viewers were not happy with her decision and took to Twitter to express their anger

A contestant on The Chase was trolled by viewers after she decided to take a minus offer.

Emma was shockingly told to “burn in hell” by one angry Twitter user as they watched her deduct £3,000 from the pot on the popular ITV show.

Emma decided to deduct £3000 – leaving viewers fuming

The nasty comments came as she went up against chaser Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha and decided to go with his offer – that would remove £3k from the pot.

She told her fellow contestants John and Pat– who had racked  up an impressive £33,000 of potential prize money: “Sorry John. I’m going to go for the -£3,000.”

Upset at her decision those watching at home took to Twitter to blast her decision.

One person wrote: “There’s a special place reserved in hell for people who take the minus offers #TheChase.”

While another remarked: “Pat’s earned her place in that final unlike Emma – she should feel ashamed instead she’s just £13k up with zero effort #thechase.”

And someone else wrote: “WTF, after going -£3000 on #thechase, Emma deserves sod all. After John got £33000? What a muppet she is.”

The decision fortunately didn’t affect her fellow contestants  – as they went on to win a total of £39,000.

This meant Emma got to take home £13,000 – which she said she will put towards a conservatory.
