Towie’s Chloe Lewis slammed as ‘insensitive’ for showing off lavish 30th birthday in Dubai with no social distancing
TOWIE'S Chloe Lewis has been branded 'insensitive' after she shared a series of non-socially distanced photos from her 30th birthday bash in Dubai yesterday.
The TV star revealed last month that she moved to the United Arab Emirates after her boyfriend Danny Flasher landed an "amazing job".
Despite starting a new life abroad, still managed to infuriate some of her Instagram followers after she shared a series of photos celebrating her milestone birthday with pals while the UK entered its third lockdown.
The Essex beauty looked sensational in a cutaway shimmering gold gown by Bronx and Banco at Geales Restaurant at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa.
In her first two posts, Chloe modelled her incredible garment with aplomb and beamed with her chocolate cake, which featured 'Happy 30th Birthday Coco' across the front.
However Chloe's third post, which was captioned: "The girls love you all🥂", angered many as she stood side-by-side with her pals for photos, without social distancing nor a mask.
According to government guidelines in the UK, people have to ensure that they are two metres apart from anyone not in their household or support bubble.
One frustrated fan commented under the photo: "Social distancing at its best".
"Read the room .... so insensitive,"; another fumed.
An angered follower penned unaware that Chloe lives in the UAE: "We’re in a national lockdown ???"
"Ermm we are in pandemic and lockdown and none of you are social distancing. Crazy and poor example to be setting" a follower posted.
Despite the fury, others came to Chloe's defence to explain that she lived in Dubai and was following the country's Covid-19
While many of her followers complimented her on her incredible birthday look. A fan shared: "You look amazing!"
"Beautiful as always," a second wrote. "Chloe lives in Dubai & they aren’t in lockdown".
"She does live there as her fella works over there," another penned. "Her family came to see her. She is so pretty. Happy 30th birthday Chloe ❤️".
Currently in Dubai, people are able to have groups of up to 10 at the same table in restaurant and bars, however they are required to wear their masks when not seated at their tables and must maintain social distancing outside their group.
In December, Chloe confirmed she had relocated to Dubai with Danny and their 14-month-old son Beau.
During an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked: "How comes you have moved to Dubai? Is it for work? Is it temp or permanent?"
The ITVBe star explained: "Danny was offered an amazing job here… we talked about it & seemed like an amazing opportunity.

"We haven’t put a time frame on how long we will be here for. But for now it’s home."

And while it might be an adjustment for most, Chloe added her toddler Beau was "loving life" in his new home in Dubai.
She continued in the Q&A: "He's absolutely loving life. He’s goes swimming everyday & we spend the afternoons playing on the beach."
