Kate had been able to take her two children, Darcey and Billy, to see their seriously ill dad for the first time at Christmas.
But after England was plunged into a new six-week lockdown on Monday, she says all visits to see loved ones have been immediately halted.
Speaking on Thursday's GMB, Kate said: "Instantly, I'm now I'm in a position where even I can't visit. I've not been able to see him.
"We're back into lockdown and no visits at all, which I hope doesn't continue for the whole of lockdown, as I think that will be very impactful."
Kate revealed the news about her hospital visits while chatting to her GMB co-stars, Ben Shepherd and Dr Hilary Jones.
She added: "There was the ability, with very carefully controlled situations, that you could have some sort of access.
"Now, I don't know if it's every hospital, but certainly where Derek's being treated, there are no visitors at all, which is tough."
It came moments after Kate had revealed she took her two kids to visit their father over Christmas.
It was the first time Darcey, 14, and 11-year-old Billy had seen Derek since he fell ill with coronavirus last March.
He still remains in intensive care and is now the country’s longest-fighting Covid-19 patient.
Derek has lost eight stone and Kate admitted her sadness at the children seeing how much he has changed.
