Inside Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor’s glamorous life as she stars in racy Netflix drama
PHOEBE Dynevor has grabbed the headlines after starring in risqué Netflix drama Bridgerton.
The series has been a hit with fans since its release on Christmas Day, but what does the actress get up to when the cameras aren't rolling?
Born and raised in Manchester, Phoebe left her native city and moved down south to Hampstead, North West London, last August.
She took a picture of her new area, which showed the relaxed gastropub The Flask in the background, which is close to Hampstead tube station.
Daphne Bridgerton, who is the eldest daughter in a powerful and wealthy family, wants to meet a man and get married.
Following the death of her father, Daphne must be chaperoned by her possessive older brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), who is also struggling to find love.
Daphne then comes into contact with the insubordinate Duke of Hastings Simon Bassett (Regé-Jean Page) and the pair pretend to be in a relationship, but actually develop feelings for one another.
The period drama has shocked fans with its series of sex scenes, especially one between Phoebe and Simon that viewers described as rape.
In episode six, things took a turn Daphne forces Simon to have sleep with her.
This happened despite him previously telling her he does not want to have children and told her to stop not once but twice.
Last month Sally Dynevor said she couldn't be happier for her daughter Phoebe after landing the lead role in the new Netflix series.
The actress, who has played her namesake Sally Metcalfe on Coronation Street since 1986, told : “I just want to say I’m very proud of Phoebe and as a family, we are so excited to see Bridgerton on Christmas Day.”
