Kylie Minogue, Abbey Clancy and Kate Moss at world premiere of Absolutely Fabulous
Stars arrive on world's most glamorous red carpet surrounded by drag queens and sequins
CELEBRITIES turned out in force for the star-studded premiere of the Ab Fab movie in London.
Leicester Square was crammed with everyone from popstars Kylie Minogue and Emma Bunton to models Kate Moss, Lily Cole and Abbey Clancy as they walked the red carpet.
The film's female stars Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders led the trend-setting pack as they rocked up to promote the BBC sitcom switching to the big screen.
Joanna, who plays magazine editor Patsy Stone in what is set to be the chic-flick of the summer, sported super trendy printed trousers with glittery gold shoes and a black top.
Jennifer aka Eddie Monsoon meanwhile wanted to make as statement with her clobber and dressed up in a black T-Shirt emblazoned with the slogan: "Gluten free, dairy free," matched with a trendy blue skirt and long black cardigan.
Meanwhile their super-glam pal Kate was roped into the flick and got stuck into actress mode as she waded through the murky waters of the River Thames.
A teaser suggests the yummy mummy could meet her end in the movie - yet she should do it in style, after she was seen dressing up in a stylish jade green gown and a chunky leopard-print coat.
Bubbly Spice Girl Emma Bunton was eager to dish the gossip on her and Jennifer Saunders' plans for the after-party.
She told us: "We will be meeting in the bar and being very naughty here tonight.
"I was lucky enough to be part of the series and I love Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley to bits and then I got offered a part in the film which is incredible.
"She emailed me and said I had a cheeky cameo - I haven’t seen it yet.
"All I can say is I'm absolutely honoured to be in this film, it’s been an incredible experience.
"I've worked for Jennifer for a very long time, and she generally writes the script as you go along, you’ll be walking on set and she’ll hand you the script, so you have to learn them fast."
Meanwhile Jennifer replied to Emma's comments and said: "Only for Emma because she’s such a diva.
"Honestly she’s such a diva
"She’ll never say the line that’s given to her."
The Ab fab series, penned by Joanna Lumley, was based on a sitcom starring her and pal Dawn French.
Looking absolutely amazing in a stunning floral pink jacket, Dawn was full of energy as she arrived at the premiere.
The summertime clobber showed off her toned figure and impressive weight loss.
Eager to lift the lid on the film she told us: "She (Joanna) is the queen of procrastination as we know, and I bet her live on radio £100,000 that she wouldn’t write the script. It was a one-way bet.
"She had to give me the money or the script. And she did give me the script. However, when we came off air, I looked at the script, and the first 30 pages were indeed script, the rest just said ‘blah blah, blah blah blah."
She added: "I actually feel proud like you’d be proud of your own daughter or your sister. She deserves everything wonderful. This is her baby and she’s worked hard on it if for years, and all this group that work on it love each other so much. The film is full of fun and love.
"I’m in it for a blink, but this is Jen’s baby. It came from a sketch that we did together. Actually when we did that sketch to begin with, very soon after that I adopted my daughter and so I had to drop out of some filming. And so Jennifer filled that slot with making Ab Fab. She helped me out, and this helped her out, so it’s all good.
"I was only on the set for one day, and In that one day I spent some time with Kate in her caravan. We had a hoot. Being on set with Jennifer is what "I’ve done more than anything else in my life. That feels natural."

Eddie's on-screen daughter Saffron - played by Julia Sawalha - was also eager to show her support as the film launched.
