LOVE Island power couple Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling are now worth almost £2million after making a million in a year, The Sun can reveal.

We previously told how the couple had secretly tied the knot in November, with Laura announcing this month that she is also pregnant with their first baby.

And it has been a strong year all round for the newlyweds, who have banked £1.9m in company profits.

Iain's earnings are reported in new accounts for his firm Iain Stirling Limited, while Laura's are reported in financial statements for her company Yer Wan.

The 32-year-old comic's takings are for the year ending 31 December 2019 and report a £540,245 annual profit - to double the net worth of the business from £426,824 in 2018 to £967,069 last year.

He set the company up in 2011 and its nature of business is reported on Companies House as "other amusement and recreation activities not elsewhere classified."

It is his only private company, with 35-year-old Laura also having a single directorship on Companies House.

Her company is called Yer Wan and was set up in 2011, with its nature of business reported as "television programme production activities."

Latest accounts for Whitmore’s company are for the year ended 31 March 2019, reporting a net worth at £855,526 - including a £165,362 profit last year.

2020 accounts reporting her latest earnings are due in the spring.

The combined net worth of their companies take the couple’s corporate earnings to close to £2m combined.

In January of this year, Laura took on the role of presenter for ITV2's first ever Winter Love Island - which Iain is the long-time voiceover artist for.

Laura and Iain announced their pregnancy news with a picture of a Guns 'n' Roses babygro on Instagram this month, with Laura writing at the time: "I want to now share good news as it’s our news to share - and I’m gonna be honest it’s starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control.

"Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021. It’s been hard to keep such happy news quiet.

"Especially the times when I’ve had to run out of live radio to get sick in a bin or my penchant for a bowl of mashed potato in the morning.

"I wasn't hungover like everyone thought. In fact I was completely sober filming the entire series of Celeb Juice, which is quite the accolade!"

She added: "We’d appreciate our privacy respected but just wanted to spread some love and a reminder of the beauty of life ❤️."

Laura revealed last year that she had suffered a miscarriage after an unplanned pregnancy, finding out when doctors were unable to detect a heartbeat during her 12-week scan.

The Sun previously told that the couple had married in a Humanist ceremony at Dublin’s City Hall on 11 November this year.

They tied the knot in in front of 25 guests - the maximum allowed under Ireland’s level five rules at the time - with Laura’s half-brother Adam and Iain’s sister Kirsten as witnesses.
