Bailiffs arrive at the home of former Towie stars Diags and Fran Parman
The authorities slapped a letter on their car windscreen before clamping it
EX TOWIE couple James 'Diags' Bennewith and Fran Parman woke up to a nasty surprise when they spotted their car had been clamped outside their Essex home.
The pair had been visited by bailiffs from Newlyn - a debt enforcement agency tackling unpaid fines and council tax - who brought along the hefty chain to buckle down their small black vehicle.
A yellow clamp could clearly be seen on the front wheel.
They also slapped a 'warning of immobilisation' on the motor which stated in block black capitals: "Please read this advice it is important."
The pair were nowhere to be seen yet their car was in the drive of their attractive home.
The pair first got together shortly after Fran joined the ITV2 show in 2014 as Diags' housemate.
She initially dated Tom Pearce but when that fell through became loved-up with the brunette hunk.
They are fond of splashing cute smiley selfies onto their Instagram page and celebrated James' birthday last month with a cute cuddly shot.
Fran took to her Instagram page to post the snap with the caption: "Happy birthday, love you to bits."
As if their fans weren't clear enough about their feelings, she added: "Love him so much," on the image itself.
Other adorable selfies show them holding each other other and dressed to the nines at a glitzy shindig as well as sporting his and hers cream outfits.
Yet they were bound to be less than cheery after spotting the note on their windscreen.

Last year, rumours suggested the lovebirds had quit Towie with Fran reportedly giving grief to her other half about her lack of scenes.
An ITV insider told heatworld: "They've been rowing all series because she got no scenes.
“He had to drop out of Scotland (where TOWIE’s Christmas special, The Only Way is Essexmas, was filmed) because of it.”
Fans now miss seeing their love on-screen and have taken to Fran's Instagram page to show their emotions.
One wrote: "Miss you both on Towie, we love you Fran," while another added: "The best couple by far off Towie.
"I wish you would both come back."
Meanwhile Diags has been teaming up with another of the programme's beauties for his latest venture.
He will be taking on the Romford Star Walk with Danielle Armstrong on July 16 to raise money for St Francis Hospice.
