They have been texting daily since and are planning on meeting in the new year if Covid restrictions are eased.
Last night a production source said: “Maisie and Hrvy has been brewing for weeks.
“The pair are so flirty together, and genuinely have a real laugh whenever they see one another.
“But they were always really disciplined about not crossing any lines whilst the show was filming.
“BBC bosses had explicitly warned against any romances, desperate to avoid any more ‘curse of Strictly’ stories.
“While, technically, they may not have been practising social distancing, they are both young and this was before Tier 4 restrictions came into play.
“But even now, in Tier 4, Maisie can have Hrvy as her support bubble.”
EastEnders actress Maisie, 19, and singer Hrvy, 21, have both admitted to having mutual crushes, and have left flirty messages beneath each other’s Instagram posts.
Hrvy — whose real name is Harvey Cantwell — previously said he would ask Maisie for a date once filming ended.
The pair, who both reached the final of the show — won by comedian Bill Bailey, 55 — had got in hot water earlier in the series when they were pictured ignoring social distancing rules as they left the studios.
But Hrvy recently said: “It’s dancing first — then love and fun afterwards.
“Maisie’s an amazing girl, very beautiful, but for now I’m just going to concentrate on the dancing because I fancy getting to the final.”
The Sun told yesterday how Maisie could earn £1million over two years after being inundated with lucrative offers following her stint on the BBC show.

But to cash in, she would have to quit her role as Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders — the show she has been part of for 12 years.
The terms of her BBC contract mean she is unable to accept so she is said to be weighing up her options.
But sources say she is “incredibly loyal” and likely to stay until at least the end of next year.
