The Netflix shows with the most sex – from Orange is the New Black’s 44 steamy scenes to Black Mirror’s 17 bonks
NETFLIX has played host to some of the sexiest TV shows of all time.
Audiences were shocked by the "obscenely unnecessary" amount of sex shown in teen ballet drama Tiny Pretty Things recently – but that's by no means the raunchiest programme Netflix has put out.

The streaming giant is now worth over £173billion and is one of the few companies to have actually benefited from the pandemic.
Over 195million worldwide subscribers watched its great selection of shows during lockdown – but some programmes prove a bit much for prudish viewers.
Here we reveal the sexiest Netflix shows of all time, based on the number of sex scenes over all series.
Orange is the New Black
Sex scenes: 44
Given it made 91 episodes over seven series, it's not surprising that Orange is the New Black tops the list of Netflix shows with the most sex scenes.

The prison comedy starred Taylor Schilling as Piper Chapman, who finds herself in a federal penitentiary after smuggling a suitcase full of drug money for her girlfriend.
Some of the most memorable sex scenes included a tryst in the prison library and one character revealing she likes to "collect orgasms" and keep track of them in her notebook.
Dark Desire
Sex scenes: 37
Mexican thriller Dark Desire might have seven fewer sex scenes than Orange is the New Black – but it managed to squeeze them all into just ONE series.

The plot follows the affair of legal professor Alma Solares (Maite Perroni), which quickly gets out of control.
The sheer amount of sex scenes featured in the series led to it becoming the most watched non-English show in Netflix history when it came out this summer.
Valeria
Sex scenes: 34
Valeria is another sex-plosive show, with a whopping 34 sex scenes in just one series.

Like Dark Desire, Valeria, which came out earlier this year, is a Spanish-language show, following the sex lives of the struggling lead character and her friends.
Sense8
Sex scenes: 34
Netflix's big-budget sci-fi blockbuster series Sense8 also managed to cram a lot of action into its two series.

The Wachowski sisters, who made The Matrix, used the might of Netflix to make a mind-blowing show about eight strangers who suddenly find themselves psychically connected.
Although it was cancelled in 2018, Sense8 was praised for its diverse portrayal of sexuality – which even included a psychic intercontinental orgy between several characters in the first series.
The Hockey Girls

Catalan series The Hockey Girls follows a girls' roller hockey team's struggle to prove themselves to the world.

The coming-of-age drama, which started life as a student project, was snapped up by Netflix in September 2019.
And with 31 sex scenes in just two series, it started as it meant to go on by showing two characters having sex in a toilet cubicle in the very first episode.
Easy
Sex Scenes: 22
Anthology series Easy explores the love lives and relationships of different characters in Chicago.

With couples trying open marriages, affairs with old flames, and the day-to-day life of a high-end sex worker, the show certainly contains a lot of action.
Black Mirror
Sex Scenes: 17
Charlie Brooker's dystopian nightmare series certainly has a lot of sex in it – but lots of the scenes are anything other than sexy.

The first episode revolves around the Prime Minister being forced into having relations with a pig on live TV in order to save a kidnapped member of the royal family.
While the festive episode White Christmas shows a man being taken back to a woman's flat after an office party, where she kills him in a murder-suicide.
Sex was also at the heart of the first episode of the most recent series in which two friends discover they enjoy having sex with each other in a virtual reality fighting game.
Love
Sex Scenes: 17
With a title like Love, viewers could be confident there's going to be some intimate moments in the series.
The Judd Apatow romantic comedy, which first aired in 2016, explores the realities of modern dating through the eyes of Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) and Gus (Paul Rust).

Despite being uncomfortable watching her sex scenes with her mother, Jacobs said her mum was completely fine with the steamy sequences.
"She even told me that she would be fine coming and watching me film one," Jacobs on his chat show.
"Which I thought was very inappropriate!"
The Naked Director

You'd expect a series about the porn industry to have a fair amount of blue scenes.

And so is the case with Japanese-made The Naked Director, which follows the true story of adult video director Toru Muranishi (Takayuki Yamada) and his star performer Kaoru Kuroki (Misato Morita).

The on-screen sex starts in the very first episode and carries on consistently from there.
While some have questioned the series' gratuitousness, that hasn't stopped it reaching an impressive 96 per cent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
And Netflix bosses were clearly impressed too, renewing the show for a second series.
