Rylan Clark-Neal reveals nerves over hosting This Morning with husband Dan
The pair will be the first ever gay couple to present show
Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed his fear over presenting This Morning with his husband Dan.
The former X Factor star and his spouse will host the show on Friday 8 July in place of husband and wife team Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
And speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during his regular Ryland showbiz segment, the 27-year-old admitted he is the nervous one out of the two.
He said: "So not this Friday but next Friday I'm going to be hosting the show with my husband."
Holly grinned and replied: "That's so exciting" before Phil asked Rylan how his husband feels about his upcoming This Morning presenting debut.
He said: "He's actually really alright, it's me going 'we can't do this!'

"It's been a sly little secret, we came in and did a fake show if you like and apart from him crashing the weather link he did really well.
"You wouldn't be knowing the weather where you are, but it went really, really well and he really enjoyed it and you know it's something he'd like to do as well so we'll give it a go."
Rylan and Dan's appearance will mark the first time a gay couple has presented the show, but Rylan is trying not to focus on that.
He added: "The papers are making a big deal over it saying it's the first ever gay couple and yeah it is and I don't want to hold that responsibility, but look, we're just two people coming in to host the show and we're really excited to have the opportunity."
The couple, who were married on 7 November last year, is the latest in a growing line of famous couples to grace the sofa – including original hosts Richard and Judy, and Eamonn and Ruth, who are off on their holidays while Rylan and Dan cover for them.
Before Rylan confirmed the news, a source close to the show told : “Rylan is hugely popular with the This Morning audience and working with Dan again will provide key chemistry a show like this requires with its hosts.”
Rylan has become a firm favourite on the daytime flagship show and has described it as his ‘second home’.
It was through his work on Channel 5’s Big Brother, where he presents spin-off Bit on the Side, that he met Dan, who participated in the show’s 14th series in 2013.
The couple shunned celeb norms and didn’t sell their wedding photographs- choosing instead to share their big day memories on This Morning.
