Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott mourn his sister Dawn’s death from cancer as he says she suffered ‘unrelenting pain’
TORI Spelling and husband Dean McDermott mourned his sister Dawn's death from cancer.
The 54-year-old actor said his late sister suffered "unrelenting pain" in a heartbreaking tribute on Instagram.
shared the news of his sister's passing in an Instagram post on Monday.
Alongside a photo of Dawn smiling, Dean wrote: "In the early morning of December 12th our beautiful sister Dawn Marilyn McDermott got her angel wings.
"For over 6 years she fought so hard against the cancer that invaded her body.
"As her body betrayed her and brought her unrelenting pain everyday, she never complained once.
"She always had the biggest smile on her face and loved being with family and friends."
"I’m sharing this with everyone because I want the world to know how incredible she was. She was the best sister, Auntie, Wife, Mom and Friend."
Dean asked that his social media followers "utter her nickname 'Cha-Chew'" at some point during the day to "let her know how loved she is and bring a big smile to her face."
He continued: "I know a lot of you didn’t know her, but I guarantee you, within 5 minutes of meeting her, you’d have the biggest smile on your face.
"She was so sweet and kind. Anyone that met her, loved her.
"Our sweet 'Cha-Chew' is in heaven with so many loved ones and no longer in pain.
"I bet she’s chasing all the cute boys around in heaven. She was cheeky."
Dean concluded the tribute by writing: "Love you Sis. ❤️"
Tori, 47, and Dean tied the knot in 2006.
The couple share five kids: 13-year-old Liam, 12-year-old Stella, nine-year-old Hattie, eight-year-old Finn and three-year-old Beau.
