Strictly’s Ranvir Singh reveals she’s lost so much weight on show she’s wearing costumes designed for pro dancers
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Ranvir Singh has revealed she’s lost so much weight, she’s wearing costumed that were designed for the show’s professionals.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 43, previously lost half a stone before the BBC reality series had even started.
But now, Ranvir has admitting how Strictly’s training sessions have left her with a body of a pro.
Speaking to the she said: “My body has definitely changed. It’s hard work doing Strictly and my body has responded to that.
“I feel much trimmer and better in myself. It has been incredible. The dress I am wearing this weekend is one that was made for one of the professionals. That’s amazing for me.”
The TV star continued: “They push their bodies through. Even if they haven’t eaten or they have a lack of sleep, they push themselves. It is remarkable.
“I would like some of that to have rubbed off on me. This has made me think that I can push myself harder than I thought I could.”
In October, Ranvir revealed the thought of dancing in front of the nation on the BBC talent show had surpressed her appetite.
In fact, she went on to lose half a stone ahead of her Strictly debut.
Opening up GMB hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, she explained: “Shall I tell you the truth? I weighed meself this morning. Are you saying I look slimmer?
“I weighed myself and I’ve lost half a stone. Don’t follow this rule, but I am so scared I can’t eat.
“Because I think if I eat I’m going to be sick. I’m eating lots of fruit and stuff. But the poor fella has got to lug me around I feel sorry for him.”
During last night’s semi-final, Ranvir was overwhelmed with emotion as Kate Garraway found the time to send a sweet message.
She couldn’t believe that her co-star had made the gesture amid her husband Derek’s coronavirus battle.
Following Ranvir and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice’s romantic routine, host Claudia Winkleman surprised the star with the video.
In the clip, Kate told Ranvir: “Ranvir, the semi finals?
“This is unbelievable, I mean it’s not though, is it, because you are unbelivable.
“It’s just so fantastic watching you, you are amazing, we all know you are amazing and now the world knows it too.
“It’s just brilliant, good luck, hope you get to the final but whatever happens you are the absolute winner of this series.”
Reacting to the thoughtful message, Ranvir gushed: “We all know what she is going through, she typifies what everyone is going through this year.
“Actually it’s so wonderful that she found the time to think of me.
“That is her all over, so thank you so much to Kate, that meant so much. “
