Gigi Hadid pays tribute to boyfriend Zayn Malik with his name written across her back in Arabic
Nothing says “I love you" like customising your clothes
WHILE some people wear their hearts on their sleeve, Gigi Hadid wears hers across her back, donning boyfriend Zayn Malik’s first name, in Arabic inscription.
The 21-year-old model was pictured arriving at Los Angeles airport LAX yesterday, wearing a black bomber jacket with “Zayn” emblazoned in large white letters.
The touching tribute pays homage to 23-year-old Zayn’s Muslim heritage, and Gigi – whose full name is Jelena Noura Hadid’s Palestinian roots.
Gigi also gave herself a shout-out on the jacket, with her name inscribed over the left breast.
She kept the look casual, teaming it with faded black ripped jeans, a white vest, and black boots, and accessories to a minimum, wearing oversized sunglasses, a black choker and a delicate gold necklace.
However, despite keeping her beau close in spirit, she failed to raise a smile as she departed the airport.
This could be down to the fact that her mum, Yolana Foster has revealed that she’s once again receiving treatment for Lyme Disease.
Oh Friday the 52-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared with fans “Healing a chronic disease doesn't become reality through a magic pill.
“It takes sweat, determination and persistent hard work. #LymeDiseaseAwareness #InvisibleDisability #WeMustFindACure #AffordableForAll.”
Gigi and Zayn have been dating since January, but earlier this month suffered a hitch when they reportedly split up briefly.
However, according to sources, the young model has put any concerns about their relationship aside in order to help Zayn who has shared with fans that he suffers panic attacks.
The ex-One Direction star had to pull out the Summertime Ball on June 11th, after a debilitating anxiety attack.
A source told Grazia: "Gigi has put all their problems on the back-burner. Watching her mother battle Lyme disease taught Gigi that life is too precious to sweat the small stuff.
"All the trust issues she had are pushed to the back of her mind; she wants to be there for him."
