Take Me Out The Gossip presenter Laura Jackson reveals she’s given birth to second baby at home
TAKE Me Out spin-off show presenter Laura Jackson has revealed she's given birth to her second baby at home - and the birth was so quick her husband was forced to "catch" his newborn son.
The 34-year-old, who hosted the series alongside Towie star Mark Wright from 2015 to 2018, took to Instagram to share the happy news.
The mum-of-two shared some adorable black-and-white photos of her son, Remy James Gorrigan, who she welcomed into the world last Saturday in the comfort of her own home.
Laura, photographer husband Jonathan Gorrigan and their one-year-old daughter Sidney Frances look over the moon with their new family member.
In one picture their oldest can be seen looking over her new baby brother sleeping peacefully in his cot, while in another the happy couple are seen holding each other moments after he was welcomed into the world.
Another shot shows proud-dad Jonathan gazing into his son's eyes while sitting on a stool next to his Moses basket.
The Ready or Not presenter gave an insight into what happened when she gave birth with her 133k followers.
She captioned the post: "Our gorgeous little pre-Christmas bundle of joy arrived, at home, not long after putting our Strictly vote in last Saturday night :).
"Faster than fast this little man came earth-side, one minute I’m going in for seconds on our evening curry and the next my husband is catching our baby boy on the living room floor, not even time to fill the pool let alone get in it.
"I think one of the most incredible, powerful and crazy experiences of my life. The human body is truly and utterly mind blowing."
Laura went on to explain how her second pregnancy was completely different to her first pregnancy with Sidney Francis, who she gave birth to in May 2019.
She added: "I took on a whole new approach to this pregnancy.
"Maybe it was Covid anxiety, or that Jon wasn’t allowed to be part of our pregnancy until I took the reins, or the fact I actually really opened up, learnt / researched / took an actual interest in the birthing process this time - whatever it was, this experience was entirely different.
"Having a home birth was something I never imaged for myself until recently, nor was following a pre-pregnancy programme and a more holistic approach to birth and labour - but I threw myself into something different and it really opened my mind.
"Welcoming Remy James Gorrigan into 2020 is something I’ll never forget.
"That and watching my sister try to fill up the birthing pool just that bit faster - by using the glass blender jug.
"Right then, time to put my feet up!
"Feel free to me send me a margarita in the post, and the number of a good carpet cleaner ;)."
Friends, family and fans flocked to the comments section to congratulate the family on their fourth family member.
Radio 1's Clara Amfo wrote: "Congrats!!!"
Love Island's Laura Whitmore commented: "Congrats xx."
Strictly's Stacey Dooley said: "R E M Y J A M E S."
Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh simply added three heart emojis.
Back in February 2019 Laura revealed her first pregnancy by posing in her underwear after hiding her bump for SIX months.
To mark the special announcement, the presenter shared a selection of black and white snaps of her belly and told fans: "*Exciting* Bun in the oven #thirdtrimester."
She managed to keep her pregnancy secret for six months by cleverly posing for photos on social media in baggy clothing or from behind.
