Could Corrie’s Ryan Thomas be joining younger brother Adam in Emmerdale?
The actor is leaving the Corrie cobbles but said he would 'love' to work with his sibling
CORRIE hunk Ryan Thomas has confessed he would "LOVE" to work with his little brother Emmerdale actor Adam.
The Manchester lad has bid farewell to the cobbles on the ITV soap and dropped a huge hint he has a collaboration with his sibling in his sights.
Ryan, who has played mechanic Jason Grimshaw for the past 16 years, : "The one thing I would love to do is work with my brother as that would be fantastic and maybe that opportunity will come at some point."
Yet his self-confessed "territorial" streak over Corrie might prove a sticking point on stumping up the courage to switch to the Yorkshire soap where Adam takes on the character of Adam Barton.
He has been a familiar face to fans of the countryside drama for the past seven years yet Ryan quizzed: "How can I go into Emmerdale when I [was] in the best soap now? I can't leave the best soap to go to another soap that isn't as good as my one!
"Everyone else will say their show is the best but this (Coronation Street) is my show."
He added: "I love what he's doing there but I wouldn't leave [Corrie] to go over to Emmerdale."
The pair's other brother, Scott, is currently starring on ITV2 reality show Love Island.
Though it seems the door has not been firmly shut on a potential return for Ryan at some point in the future.
Ryan, 32, added to OK!: “At Tony Warren’s wake, one of the writers came up to me and said: ‘I’ve written a scene where Jason isn’t very happy in Thailand – you will come back, won’t you?’ That is really lovely to hear.”
