Adele is suffering from stage fright HOURS before her Glastonbury gig
The popstar is getting nervy just before her headline show
ADELE is having last-minute stage fright ahead of her first ever Glastonbury headline set tonight, according to her manager Jonathan Dickins.
The music boss was overheard backstage at the festival telling friends about the star’s anxiety about taking to the Pyramid Stage later this evening.
He told a pal: “She’s nervous. She hasn’t got here yet.
“I think anyone would be nervous playing in front of that crowd.”
Even Jonathan himself is feeling the heat as his most prized artist prepares to perform in front of 150,000 revellers.
While Adele has not arrived on site yet, her partner Simon Konecki has been enjoying the festival for two days with good pal and ex-Eastenders actor Sid Owen.
Her mum Penny is also camping backstage.
Adele previously ruled out ever performing at Glastonbury due to her fear of the big stage.
She said last year: “I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury.
“The crowds are too big - I don’t know if I could do it.”
The Skyfall star paid a visit to Worthy Farm in 2015 for a recce of the site exactly a year ago where she watched Kanye West headline on the very same stage she will take to at 10pm tonight.
It didn’t do her nerves any good.
She said: “I went this year to watch Kayne and I literally just crapped my pants on the size of the audience. It was pretty insane."
The toilet habits of the Glastonbury masses didn’t help matters either.
She added: “Well, the front row - they always do a poo and a pee so they don’t lose their spot.
“They do - I have seen it happen!
“I nearly did it myself years ago. It’s true, that is why it stinks down the front.”
Yesterday popstar Robbie Williams posted a throwback shot of him raving at Glastonbury with The Prodigy's Keith Flint.
The image, taken in 1995, showed the ex Take That man sporting a cheesy grin and bright blonde hair as he posted with the band frontman and uploaded the shot with the caption: "There was more colour in the 90s."
Yet the grim muddy scenes of this year are a far cry from Robbie's former rave-time and on the image he quipped: "There was more fire starting too," as he took a trip back down memory lane and relished in the punk rock band's performances.
