Lily Allen skips Glastonbury to avoid another embarrassing fall in the mud

Last year the singer ended up face down in a field after some crazy partying at the event

AT last year’s Glastonbury, LILY ALLEN ended up face down in a field after collapsing following a weekend of mad partying.

But 12 months on she has decided to skip the festival entirely to avoid further embarrassment.

The notorious Worthy Farm caner was due to DJ at 2am on Saturday morning but I can reveal she has pulled out, blaming a knee injury.

Lily doesn’t want to risk getting hurt in the mud — a convenient excuse given last year’s antics.

She said: “I’m not going to Glastonbury.

“I have a hole in the back of my kneecap and it’s excruciatingly painful so I don’t think the mud is for me this year.”

She has attended the festival every year for the past decade but her 2015 experience was the most memorable.

At the time The Sun on Sunday revealed she required oxygen after passing out.

A source said: “Her eyes were rolling and her chin was moving from side to side, chewing constantly.”

She has now split from Sam Cooper, the father of her two kids, after months of speculation.

And last weekend she finally admitted to dating MC MERIDIAN DAN after it was revealed they were in bed together when a stalker broke into her house last October.

It’s a good idea she isn’t hitting the festival, as she has been open about her drug-taking at Glasto in the past.

She previously revealed: “Glasto ’98 was the first time I ever took drugs, so it was pretty incredible.”

Fans got a taste of Lily’s new music on Periscope yesterday.

Once again the lyrics have drug references including: “When I was famous, I would wake up next to strangers, everyone knows what cocaine does...

“That’s why I can’t hang with the cool gang, everyone’s a trigger.”

The good news is there won’t be a shortage of celebs going wild in Lily’s absence.

PROFESSOR GREEN, RITA ORA and NICK GRIMSHAW will all be pulling on their wellies to embrace the mud.

Hope they’ve got their waterproofs too.

Sad Rhi's Glast hurrah

RIHANNA has found the perfect way to cheer herself up after crying on stage in Dublin this week.

Following her performance at Wembley Stadium on Friday, the Bajan superstar will hotfoot it to Glastonbury for a 24-hour party.

And she’s found a smart way to avoid the traffic that’s been clogging up the Somerset roads for the past two days.

I’m told the Bajan has booked a helicopter to take her from London to Worthy Farm, where she will hook up with pal CARA DELEVINGNE.

My music source revealed: “Rihanna is flying by helicopter on Saturday evening from Battersea to a site near Glastonbury.

“This will be her first ever Glastonbury but she has always been desperate to go.

“She is going with Cara who is going to show her around Shangri La, where all the best nightlife is.”

Rihanna has been widely tipped to join COLDPLAY on stage during their closing set on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, but any appearance is still very much up in the air.

Especially as the singer has already booked out London nightclub Drama for her and her crew on the same night.

I wouldn’t like to be CHRIS MARTIN coming between Rihanna and a party.

Moss be tough

YOU have to feel for KATE MOSS’s boyfriend Count Nikolai von Bismarck.

She looked far more interested in ex-England footballers DAVID BECKHAM and RIO FERDINAND at a Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris yesterday.

I’m told Kate and Nikolai will now jet back to get stuck in to the Glasto action, although Worthy Farm is bound to stir up some emotions.

She skipped it last year while ex-husband THE KILLS guitarist JAMIE HINCE went alone in the first public sign of their marriage ending.

Doubt she’ll want to take this outfit to the muddy festival though.

Webbe gives ex-gf and Charlie Sheen his blessing

FOLLOWING my exclusive this week that CHARLIE SHEEN is dating TV star JESS IMPIAZZI, her ex-boyfriend has given the couple his blessing.

Speaking at the Caudwell Children Butterfly Ball on Wednesday, BLUE singer SIMON WEBBE, right, said: “Good for her – it’s fantastic.”

I hope Charlie and Jess’s relationship is more successful than Blue’s comeback.

Rain-ready hair for Jess

JESS GLYNNE's already got her hair sorted for today's Pyramis Stage set.

The singer tied her hair into braids for a gig at the Eden Project on Wednesday and it's a practical hairdo for torrential rain at Glasto.

Imagine trying to wash and dry those curls in a tent?

Muse expect Glasto show to go haywire

WORTHY Farm’s drone ban won’t stop MUSE putting on the show of their lives tonight.

The rockers have spent their Drones Tour flying the gizmos over crowds all over the world, but are strictly forbidden from bringing them to Glastonbury.

Thankfully they’ve got something even more special up their sleeves – a Tetris- inspired stage design.

But frontman MATT BELLAMY expects it all to go haywire.

He said: “There are so many components that are unpredictable.

“So there’s no one to blame if anything goes wrong – which it will.”

That’s the spirit, Matt.
