Jade Thirwall shares first snap of Little Mix as a trio after Jesy Nelson takes ‘extended break’

Jade Thirwall has shared Little Mix's first snap as a trio after their bandmate Jesy Nelson decided to take an "extended break".
The singer, 27, took to Instagram to share a picture of the girls backstage before their appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show last night.
All three of the girls made sure to show off their amazing matching outfits ahead of their performance on the BBC chat show.
Jade looked stunning as ever in a black bralette, long sleeved mesh crop top and some high-waisted baggy pants.
Bandmate Perrie Edwards, 27, rocked a black bodysuit, a leather pleated a-line skirt and some Doc Martin boots.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, spiced things up a bit with a leather body suit, matching trousers and some Nike trainers.
But fans couldn't help but notice something was missing.
One wrote: "Missing jesy 💜💜💜💜."
Another said: "We miss Jesy, send her lots of love ❤️."
A third commented: "Send jesy our love :( we miss her so much <3."
Their latest performance as a trio comes after it was revealed that bandmate Jesy, 29, will be taking extended time-off from the band for private medical reasons.
Two weeks ago the star pulled out of The Search final and also didn't attend the MTV EMAs due to an illness.
At the time a spokesman for the band said: “Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix The Search.
“She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMAs.”
Fans have been left distraught by the news and to show their love, they have been sharing moments where Jesy has helped them in their hours of need.
Some have even voiced their fears that history is repeating itself as Jesy’s absence ‘mirrors’ Zayn’s exit from One Direction.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Jesy will be extending her time off for "private medical reasons".
Announcing the extension of her break, a spokesman for the group confirmed: “Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons.
"We will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time."
However, Little Mix fans have no need to worry as Jade recently insisted the group will "never die" despite what's going on at the moment.
Speaking to , she answered questions about what is in store for the group in the future.
Jade said: "You know, eventually in the future we might go off and do our own bits and bobs - but Little Mix will literally never die.
"We've always said that - we're like, we always need Little Mix. I think it's nice that people are starting to do their own bits and bobs."
"I definitely want to travel more and see more fans all over the world."
Little Mix first formed back in 2011 when they were put together on The X Factor.
The girls were the first group to win the popular talent show and have achieved the most amazing things over the past nine years.
They have gone on to sell more than 50million records, bagged themselves two Brit awards, four number one singles and released six albums.
The girls also plan to start their Confetti tour in April next year if Covid-19 restrictions allow them to.
Jesy also won a National Television Award this year for her BBC documentary Odd One Out, where she opened up about the online trolling she received during her time on The X Factor.
