Artist Tracey Emin says she was spooked by ghost of scream painter Edvard Munch
ARTIST Tracey Emin says she let out a scream when she was spooked by the ghost of Edvard Munch.
Tracey, 57, revealed she had a brush with a spectre while visiting the Munch Museum in the Norwegian capital Oslo.
She claimed The Scream painter’s spirit moved a hat and slammed a heavy, steel door.
Tracey, who revealed last month that she is in remission after a bladder cancer op, told the Talk Art podcast: ‘‘We were at the Munch Museum, in the archive. And at the Munch Museum, all the archive is underground, sort of in a hill.
‘‘It’s like going to the Bank of England — it’s all in vaults. You have like submarine doors.
‘‘We were looking in the Munch archive, at Munch’s furniture and Munch’s hats and his paints and clothes and everything. We took the top of this box off, looked down and there was a hat in it and it moved.

“We yelped. And then — this is really brilliant — the door closed.
‘‘Ordinarily a door could close but not that door.
“It’s 6in thick. It can’t close on its own. It doesn’t move like that.
