Mark Wright is ‘disappointed’ according to friends, as they reveal ‘getting pregnant is the last thing on Michelle’s mind!’
Michelle Keegan has told Mark that she wants to wait five years before having children
MARK Wright and Michelle Keegan just can’t get a break from rumours that their marriage is under strain, as today friends have revealed that Mark is “disappointed” that Michelle has put baby plans on hold.
The couple married in May last year, and according to pals, reality star and TV presenter Mark, 29, was hoping to have babies as soon as possible.
But as 29-year-old Michelle’s career goes from strength to strength, she has told Mark that she won’t be ready for children for up to five years.
“Michelle has told Mark she wants to wait five years before having a baby and Mark’s pretty disappointed,” a friend told heat magazine.
“He thought he and Michelle would be ready in a year or two at the most.
“Getting pregnant is the last thing on Michelle’s mind, but it’s all Mark wants.”
And although the couple have done their best to quash rumours that they’re on the verge of a split, those close to them tell the mag that their marriage will suffer until Michelle “gives in.”
“They want completely different things and nothing will change until Michelle finally gives in and they try for a baby.
“The marriage will be a constant strain until then.”
As Michelle films her dream role for BBC series Our Girl – a job that’s seen her film extensively away from their Essex home, in South Africa and Cape Town for the majority of 2016, Mark was last week pictured in Vegas partying with bikini-clad girls.
However, friends insist that Michelle wasn’t “bothered” as she knows Mark would never be unfaithful.
“She’s not particularly bothered about him being around other women – she’s completely secure in herself and very independent.
“She doesn’t believe he would cheat on her.
“She doesn’t care that he’s gone to Vegas, but the pictures did wind her up a bit.
“She knows he’d be first on the phone if there were pictures of her on the town.”
And while Mark and Michelle do their best to shrug off the negative stories, Mark’s sister Jessica Wright, 30, has blasted them.
Speaking to OK! Jess said: “It’s awful for them but they have to rise above it and they do.
“I feel like constantly having to defend their relationship, even though they don’t because they don’t give a s**t!”
“It’s extremely annoying.
“I feel so bad for them because you don’t want to have negative vibes around your relationship.”
Last month Michelle was spotted on a night out in Manchester not wearing her £20,000 wedding ring, and when fans went into meltdown, debating whether this meant their love was in jeopardy, the actress broke from her usual silence, to set the rumours straight.
She tweeted: “I work on camera so I take it off and put it somewhere safe… SIMPLE. Last night I went straight out after work… Hence the NO ring!!!”
Last week Mark also took to social media to silence the naysayers.
He posted: “Relationship where people know of us. But know nothing about us.”
