Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney could finally come face to face in court as Wag war kicks off next week

REBEKAH Vardy and Coleen Rooney will finally get their first High Court face-off next week after more than a year of legal wrangling.

A judge is expected to make the crucial ruling on what Coleen must prove to win the libel case against her.

Rebekah, 38, has brought libel proceedings against England legend Wayne’s missus, who claimed her former friend leaked stories planted on her Instagram account to the Press.

Coleen, 34, was dubbed “Wagatha Christie” after her bombshell accusation went viral last year.

Rebekah — then pregnant — furiously denied the accusation and said a number of people had access to her account.

Several attempts to settle the case out of court have since failed.

Coleen is said to be determined to be in London for their first High Court hearing next Thursday.

It will allow a judge to decide whether Coleen’s claims should be interpreted for legal reasons as meaning Becky herself was to blame or someone else who had access to her account.

The verdict could be crucial in determining the outcome of their long-standing battle.

But mum-of-four Coleen blew their friendship apart in an incendiary post last October

She said she suspected someone close to her had been leaking stories, so decided to post a string of false ones to flush them out.

All were subsequently printed in The Sun after being put to Coleen’s reps for comment.

Coleen claimed they had only been viewed by one person, ending her post dramatically: “It’s . . Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

Mum-of-five Rebekah, married to Leicester City’s Jamie, said she later received death threats as an anti-Vardy backlash grew.
