Strictly’s Clara Amfo says her boobs have to be ‘strapped the f*** down’ so they don’t pop out on the show

STRICTLY’s costume staff have made sure Clara Amfo’s big boobs are “strapped the f*** down” so they don’t pop out during the BBC1 family show.

In a candid chat the Radio 1 DJ, 36, revealed how crew have had to make adjustments for her large chest after a near miss in a rehearsal for the first week’s Cha Cha routine with pro partner Aljaž Škorjanec, 30.

Clara also told how she won’t be “having sex with anybody on this show” in a bid to swerve the infamous Strictly curse after contestant Seann Walsh, 34, was caught snogging Katya Jones, 31, in 2018.

She said: “I’m not a flat chested woman. They have made sure from the first Cha Cha that I did that I am strapped the f*** down.

“When we did our first run of the Cha Cha, I said ‘you know what I think I need a slightly tighter bra’, so we have prevented any mishaps of that kind.”

Speaking ahead of the series, Clara dubbed the Rumba a “sensual routine” adding: “A rumba is basically saying – this is sex!”

But in an interview ahead of last night’s Tango with Aljaz, she commented: “I’m not going to be having sex with anybody on this show. I’m not! I’m having a lovely time.

“We’re not doing a Rhumba this week, we’re doing a Tango but if we’re lucky enough to stay in the competition and we do a Rhumba, I’m going to think of Jesse Williams, who plays Dr Jackson Avery in Greys Anatomy.

“I think about him during most things and I’ll think about him during that if we get to do it.”

Fellow Strictly star Oti Mabuse, 30, has previously complained about the perils of having 28GG breasts.

She even considered a breast reduction but decided it against it because she “doesn’t like pain” and didn’t want to take six weeks off work to recover.

Oti said: “’I did once think about a reduction because big boobs or even wearing the wrong bra would cause me back ache, neck strains and lower back problems.”

The South African born professional was even reduced to tears during her first costume fitting on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 because of her large chest.

She said: “Strictly opened a lot of doors to me. I remember fitting my first bra and I was crying.

“I was like 'this looks so bad and I look so massive compared to the other girls'.”
