Strictly fans claim Giovanni Pernice, 30, and Ranvir Singh, 43, will be hit by the show ‘curse’ after spotting chemistry

STRICTLY fans are convinced Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice's sizzling chemistry could lead to romance.

They both might be single, but that hasn't stopped viewers from hoping they'll be struck by the 'Strictly curse'.

The infamous curse was coined after numerous relationships were wrecked by the intense Strictly schedule and its sexy routines.

After seeing the passion in Ranvir, 43, and Giovanni's first two performances, one fan wrote on Twitter: "You were amazing ranvir!!! You and Giovanni have such a connection, is this the 'strictly curse' coming into play again?!"

Another previously said: " has ranvir got the strictly curse with Giovanni piers see them both at the end by Claudia can't keep their hands off each other cuddles smiles kisses ???? Makes you wonder if something is blossoming ...."

As a third questioned: "Ranvir and Giovanni seem to get on rather well already don't they! Strictly curse?!"

It seems Ranvir wouldn't mind a bit of romance, if her own words are anything to go by.

When she was first announced as a competitor, she admitted she'd be open to the curse, adding: "Well, I am single!"

Giovanni, 30, previously dated two Strictly contestants in Georgia May Foote and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, whom he broke up with in January.

Body language expert Judi James agrees Ranvir and Giovanni have chemistry, but isn't sure it's a romantic connection.

She told the: "This pair do have undeniable on-screen chemistry together, making theirs a very complimentary relationship.

"But it currently looks like what I would call the ‘Strictly professional crush’ where celebrities like Ranvir, who seems to hint at some previous heartbreak in her private life, telling Claudia that the competition has brought out a ‘whole different side that’s been lost’, re-develop their inner confidence, self-esteem and even trust by working so closely with an attentive, coaching partner, rather than anything like a genuinely romantic relationship."
