ACTOR Geoffrey Palmer has died peacefully aged 93.
The TV sitcom legend leaves behind his wife Sally Green, and two children.
Who is Sally Green?
Sally Green is the wife of the late actor Geoffrey Palmer.
Sally, according to an interview with Palmer in , was a health visitor.
Geoffrey and Sally were living in Old Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
Geoffrey described their house as: "A hundred yards from the high street, six minutes’ walk from the station, doctor’s surgery diagonally across the road, Waitrose no distance."
Geoffrey became a TV legend after featuring in hit British TV sitcoms Butterflies and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.
He was applauded for his role in As Time Goes By in which he starred with Dame Judi Dench. The series was hugely popular and ran from 1992 to 2005.
However, Palmer was also a hit on the big screen, featuring in A Fish Called Wanda, The Madness Of King George and Clockwise.
In 2013, Palmer was a vocal opponent of the HS2 railway line, appealing to David Cameron to "stop this vanity project and leave our countryside alone."
Palmer was appointed an OBE in 2004 for his services to drama.
