Bo Bruce reveals the heartbreaking reason why she wore her mother’s wedding dress on her big day
Singer admits wearing the gown helped her feel close to her late mum
THE Voice star Bo Bruce has revealed she wore her late mum's wedding dress on her big day to ease her grief.
The singer's mother died four years ago after a battle with cancer, and Bo was determined to make her part of the wedding when she tied the knot with fiance Henry Binns.
Bo, 31, exchanged vows with Zero 7 star Henry, 44, earlier this month, and they chose to wed at the singer's family church - where her mother, Rosamond, Countess of Cardigan, is buried.
The TV star, whose full name is Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce, wore a vintage lace gown that her mum wore at her own wedding in 1980.
Bo has now explained that she chose to tie the knot in the special dress to help her feel close to her mum on her big day.
She told Hello! magazine: "It was pretty magical. I've always felt my mum is there in the woods and wearing her wedding dress meant she was with me all day."
