Don’t Rock The Boat viewers convinced they’ve spotted Lucy Fallon and Joe Weller flirting after romance rumours
DON'T Rock The Boat viewers are convinced they’ve spotted Lucy Fallon and Joe Weller flirting after romance rumours.
The new ITV show debuted last night with a dozen celebrities being pushed to their physical and mental limits as they take part in the ultimate rowing challenge.
Viewers were quick to spot the instant chemistry between Lucy and Joe, 24, and were convinced they spotted the pair flirting throughout the first episode.
Split into two teams of six, the celebs will race to reach Scotland from Cornwall while also stopping off at checkpoints in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Lucy and Joe found themselves on the blue crew along with Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, Gold Olympic medallist Denise Lewis, The Chase’s Shaun “The Dark Destroyer” Wallace and Love Islander winner Jack Fincham.
In the red boat, Labour’s former Deputy Leader Tom Watson, Corrie star Craig Charles, Jodie Kidd, Fleur East, Victoria Pendleton and Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas.
Joe, who described himself as “a YouTuber, boxer and legend”, said: "We've got the brains in Shaun, we've got the leadership in Denise."
He gave a cheeky laugh: "I get on very well with Lucy, so I think that will be a good dynamic."
The former Corrie actress and Joe were getting on swimmingly and it didn't go unnoticed by viewers.
One fan wrote: "'I get on with Lucy very well' I bet you did 😂"
Another eagle-eyed viewer posted: "Watching Joe Weller and watching him flirt with Lucy is completing me...you're the best on Don't Rock The Boat."
A third fan tweeted: "Of course you like Lucy, she's gorgeous. Great chemistry."
A fourth wrote: "umm he totally fancies Lucy Fallon 🤣."
While some fans hinted that Lucy was the girl that Joe was talking about on his podcast, with one writing: "Should I be jealous? Is Lucy the girl Joe was talking about on his podcast?"
Joe and Lucy held down the fort for the blue crew as they both struggled with the affects of the harsh winds after a number of celebs suffered with extreme sea sickness.
After rowing for 12 hours, Lucy told Joe: "I actually might cry."
She was comforted by Joe, replying: "You deserve it, as in you've earned it."
Joe has shared a series of sweet Instagram snaps with Lucy including one of them looking cosy sharing the same thermal jacket.
Another fan joked: "You and Weller should arrange a date, he never stops talking about you🤣."
Later on, the two teams competed in on-shore challenges to try and secure an advantage over the opposition and to win a luxury night sleep in a hotel.
Despite the blue team dropping two balls they still beat the red team by 10 minutes - winning a nights sleep in a king sized bed with Egyptian cotton and a hot bath.
One viewer tweeted: "If I could watch tomorrows episode now I would, just to see if you and Lucy end up sharing a bed."
Lucy has formed a close friendship with her co-star Joe following her split from her long-term boyfriend.
The Sun recently revealed how the former Coronation Street actress, 24, split from insurance manager Tom Leech, 29, in lockdown.
But insiders have claimed their relationship has caused a rift within her and Tom’s friendship groups – and raised eyebrows during filming.
A source said: “Lucy and Joe clicked from day one of filming on Don’t Rock The Boat.
“It’s a tight-knit group but Lucy and Joe had a spark, everyone noticed it.
“They’ve been hanging out together during free-time from filming and have shared pictures of each other on their Instagram stories.
“Not everyone has been impressed though. Lucy’s had a few messages from people about her friendship with Joe.
“She’s adamant they’re just pals and it’s nothing more but people who knew her and Tom as a couple think it’s a pretty bad look."
A podcast recorded by Joe shortly before he joined the new show has added fuel to the fire.
On Wafflin’, Joe is confessed to harbouring a crush on Don’t Rock The Boat.
Joe said: “There is someone that I fancy from the group that I’m doing this TV show with.
