GEMMA Atkinson has shared a sweet clip of her daughter clapping as she watched dad Gorka dance with Maisie Smith on Strictly.

The former Emmerdale actress, 35, took to Instagram to show 16-month-old Mia smiling and laughing as she watched Gorka, 30, danced with Maisie, 19, on the BBC One show.

Maisie and Gorka put on an incredible display as they strutted the Tango to Midnight Sky by Miley Cyrus, bagging 25 out of 30 possible points and topping the leader board.

The pair are now tipped to reach the final of the BBC show.

And former Strictly contestant Gemma beamed with pride as she filmed her daughter watching the pair light up the dancefloor.

Mia stomped her feet to the music and was transfixed as she clapped and giggled.

The adorable kid couldn't take her eyes off the screen as Gemma revealed they were watching Strictly on catch up and were still on week one.

She said: "We're still on the samba in our house. We're gonna have nine weeks of samba."

She and Spaniard , 30, had their first child, daughter Mia, in July 2019.

And Gemma said the passion between her and the Strictly dancer is still strong.

She told The Sun last month: “People say to us that after having a baby the ­passion goes, but I don’t think the passion for him could ever go.

"Just sometimes it’s not a priority because you’re tired and you’ve got a baby.”
